Is now the time to "open our mouths" and contemplate using professional PR techniques to create awareness for Biblical Creation?

Influencing and changing opinion, the bread and buffer of PR.

Where is Biblical Creation nationally now?

• The recent evolution weekend on TV
• Radio 4/ The Times
• SPCK bookshop (Richard Dawkins)
• C of E school teaching on coccyx

Where ought Biblical Creation to be in the public mind?
Nowhere.... vague awareness 0.05% population.... regularly aired topic

How could professional PR help to achieve this?

How would we go about doing it?

The bare mechanics of a PR campaign

• setting goals: definition and focus are critical SWOT's analysis
• determining target audiences
• determining the objectives
• deciding on a message
• sticking to the message - panel of briefed & PRwise speakers
• delivering the message - "selling" the story to the media
• measuring the effect

What would it cost? £40,000 to £50,000 p.a.
How long would it take to turn the tide? 2/3 years +

Some obvious challenges:

• Is it God's will.
• Who would the "the client" be.
• Could we agree a common brief?
• How would we fund it?
• Is it too ambitious?
